Priest

In AoE, priests are slow, weak healers and converters. They are created at the temple. They can be made stronger, faster, and better at healing and conversion by researching temple technologies.

To convert using a priest, click on the priest, then right-click on any enemy unit you want to convert. (To convert other priests and buildings you must research Monotheism). The unit will usually attack you if possible. Other units may also attack you during the conversion. If your priest dies before you convert the unit, it stays unconverted.

To heal using a priest, click on the priest you want to use, then right-click the unit you want to heal. The priest will have to walk over to the unit to heal it. After healing that unit, it will automatically walk around to heal other nearby injured units.

The Age of Kings equivalent of the priest is the monk.
